A show by Objects
Dart is always
funny, imaginative,
filled with whimsical
magic, and is a
guaranteed hit with
children and adults
alike.
Moving to London in 2000, Drew
worked at the Little Angel Theatre to
critical acclaim. He has been invited to
perform at international festivals in
South Africa, Britain and in Europe.
Objects Dart specialises in "Instant
Puppetry" which is a unique process
whereby the puppet is created during
the show as part of the story-telling.
Object theatre (using everyday
objects) is also used extensively, as
well as interesting shadow puppetry,
story-telling, and live and recorded
music.
Objects Dart Puppet Theatre was founded in 2002 by
Puppeteer Drew Colby. Drew has been entertaining
children and adults alike with his puppetry since he was
twelve, when he first began performing his work
publically while growing up in Namibia. After training
as an actor at the Waterfront Theatre School in Cape
Town, Drew went on to become puppetmaster at the
Playhouse Company in Durban, before forming his own
company, Puppetree Productions, in 1998.
Drew Colby is a member of Equity , the
Punch and Judy Fellowship , British
Unima, the British Puppet and Model
Theatre Guild and he has an enhanced
